Formula Al Ahram International
Automobile Exhibition 2010
The seventeenth exhibition of Formula Al Ahram international Automobile exhibition was launched this year with smashing success. It ended on Sunday, January 24, 2010. The exhibition’s opening ceremony was inaugurated by Mr. Safwat al-Sharif; Egyptian Shura Council Speaker, accompanied by Engineer Mohamed Rachid; Minister of Industry & Foreign Trade, in the presence of Dr. Abdel Mon’em Saudi Chairman of the Egyptian Association of Automobile Manufacturers, Dr. Abdel Mon’em Said; Chairman of Al Ahram Press, Eng. Ahmed Allam, Chairman of Art Line Company for organizing exhibitions & international conferences, as well as Mr. Terry Hess; Chairman of AMC promotion, the organizers of Paris International Automobile Show, plus a number of prominent businessmen & representatives of major companies.
The exhibition witnessed a grand opening event with thousands of Egyptian car lovers. The first day of the event (from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm, a designated time dedicated to the public on opening day), witnessed the presence of more than 28000 visitors, which is considered to be a record compared to other exhibitions & affirmed the expected number of visitors - 300 thousand visitors - during the five days of the exhibition, from January 20 – 24, 2010.
