Tech Talk - July 2010
With all the continuous inventions in technology these days,
somebody HAS to update tech enthusiasts! And that’s exactly what
TeenStuff brings you by presenting the latest info about
gadgets!
iPad from Apple, like or dislike?
Many people own an
X-box 360 nowadays, but many gaming companies wonder
what’s over the horizon for gaming. Microsoft
answers this question by offering the most brilliant
projects that will really take gaming to another
dimension where you control everything. It’s Project
Natal. Project Natal is a
great idea based on an add-on peripheral for the
X-box 360 console. It allows the X-box 360 users
(gamers) to experience a new level of gaming
technology where the user himself is the controller
of the X-box 360, using spoken commands or presented
objects & images; which means no game pads, only the
X-box & you.
“Really? Is that possible?!” is what people ask most
when they hear about this project. Why don’t we ask
another question like, “How does Project Natal
work?” Project Natal’s main idea is based on a 3D
sensor, which is a great piece that provides
detailed 3D information about the whole surrounding
environment & two cameras; one RGB for the face
recognition feature & display video, the other is an
infrared depth camera, which provides you with a
point cloud which lets you simply do many things
that could be impossible to do using the normal
camera. Also an Internal processing system is found
in the Natal which handles unspecified amounts of
the heavy lifting behind the Natal’s clever image &
speech recognition.
This marvelous processing system can break the human
body into 48 points which are being tracked in real
time; moreover it can sense the whole human body in
Z space, or depth. Write With
